The 100th edition, limited to 500 copies, of which this is out of series, designated for presentation for George Macy, publisher of The Limited Editions Club, who, in 1940, was the first to publish, posthumously, Rackham's illustrations for this title. Quarto. xii, 178 pages; frontispiece and eleven additional illustrated plates tipped to leaves of text-block, omitted from pagination. Publisher's white sheep, spine lettered in gilt; top edge gilt, others untrimmed; in original slipcase with printed paper label affixed to front panel. Backstrip dulled; joints worn, with front joint starting; spine ends and corners worn. Shallow ripples to endpapers. Slipcase extremities worn. A very good copy of a beautiful production with a nice association.
