Inscribed by the author (as Anthony Burgess) on the title-page: "To Corwin/-Anthony Burgess." Octavo. [253] pages. Publisher's full green cloth, spine lettered in gilt, dust jacket. Jacket spine and edges toned, some rubbing, mild edgewear and thumbsoiling to jacket, spine a bit dull, some rubbing to binding. Still, a near fine copy. From the collection of Donald Kaufmann.

    The second of two novels Burgess wrote under his pseudonym, Joseph Kell.
