First edition of the first important historical work written by an American woman, and one of the earliest histories of the American Revolution. Three octavo volumes. More Information:

Mercy Warren (1728-1805) was a political writer and propagandist, who urged her readers to reject the British monarchy in favor of American independence. She wrote during a time when such writing was not only hazardous for the writer, as it could be considered seditious, but was considered only suitable for men. She was highly educated, and was passionate about American patriotism, and was a frequent correspondent with Samuel Adams, John Hancock, Patrick Henry, Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, and John Adams (who was her literary inspiration). Howes W122.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
