    Description

Presented by von Braun to his personal secretary.

Wernher von Braun Signed Book: Moon, Man's Greatest Adventure (New York: Harry N. Abrams, Inc., [1970]). Text by Wernher von Braun, Silvio A. Bedini, and Fred L. Whipple. Edited by Davis Thomas. Folio (12.25" x 15.5"), 267 pages, blue cloth boards with silver gilt spine title and front board illustration, dust jacket present. The first page has been inscribed and signed by von Braun: "To/ Julie Kertes/ who got us there/ With esteem, affection, and/ a tiny shot of fear --/ Wernher von Braun/ 23 February 1972". Von Braun, of course, was one of the leading figures in the development of the Saturn V rocket, the launch vehicle that propelled Apollo to the moon. A fine presentation copy.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
