Warren G. Harding Typed Letter Signed "Warren G. Harding" as President of the United States. One page, 7" x 9", on White House letterhead, Washington, D.C., November 28, 1922, to Mr. O. S. Rapp, Marion, Ohio. Harding writes concerning pastoral and church-related concerns at his family church in Marion, Ohio. He writes, in part:

"I have an intimation that the relationship of Dr. McAfee as a pastor of Trinity Church is to be severed at the close of the current year...Dr. McAfee has written me about the appointment of his son-in-law to an office and has told me a rather discouraging tale about his utter dependence. It is not possible for me to make the appointment which he requests, but I would like to do something substantial for him and carry to him a large offering of cheerfulness at Christmas time. If you will sound out the fellows who have heretofore generously joined in making a contribution toward an assistant pastor, so that he might retain his place as pastor, I will contribute a check myself and then you can call on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning and hand the checks to him in person. It would be a fine thing to do and the doing of it would afford all of us a lot of abiding satisfaction."

The letter has old, smoothed folds but is in otherwise near fine condition.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
