    Vostok 1 through Vostok 6 KNIGA Signed Covers and Sergey Korolyov Telephonegram Signed. A complete collection of six Soviet philatelic covers, 6.5" x 3.625", each with a cachet, and each with a signature of one of the first six Soviet cosmonauts in space. These were issued by the Russian agency for foreign trades and were officially signed; they are accepted in the hobby as 100% authentic. Signed by the following: Vostok 1- Yuri Gagarin (1934-1968), the first man in space; Vostok 2- Gherman Titov (1935-2000); Vostok 3- Andriyan Nikolayev (1929-2004); Vostok 4- Pavel Popovich; Vostok 5- Valery Bykovsky, the longest solo flight; and Vostok 6- Valentina Tereshkova, the first woman in space.

    Also included in this lot is a 1962-dated 5.5" x 6.5" document in Russian, signed by Sergey Korolyov (1907-1966), the chief Soviet engineer and designer during the early "space race" era. A rare group of authentic signatures. All very fine or better condition.
