Zachary Taylor served as president for only sixteen months. He died of gastroenteritis less than a year after signing this letter. Ex. R. Douglas Stuart.
Condition: Evenly toned, with usual mail folds. Includes folder it was sold in by noted manuscript dealer Forest H. Sweet.
