Zachary Taylor. Autograph Letter Signed, "Z. Taylor", as
President-elect, to Frank Leathe, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Dec. 15,
1848, one page, quarto. In this interesting letter, Taylor
satisfies an autograph request and thanks Leathe for including him
in his collection of "distinguished men in England & America." Two
vertical and one horizontal mailing folds. Small tape reinforcement
to the verso of the horizontal fold. Fine condition. Accompanied by
a typed transcription. From a private collection in North
Carolina.
