Description

William McKinley Signed Military Appointment. One page on vellum, 15.75" x 19.75"; City of Washington; June 3, 1898. William R. Sample is appointed to the rank of Assistant Adjutant General of Volunteers. Countersigned by Russell Alger as Secretary of War.

Condition: Very clean, the blue embossed paper seal is intact. Loss of vellum at both right and left bottom. Creasing and buckling throughout.
