William McKinley Military Appointment Signed "William McKinley." One partially printed page of vellum, 15.5" x 19.25", Washington, D.C.; February 15, 1901. Appointing "James Morton...Navy Lieutenant." With an intact blue paper seal at lower center. Decorated at the top and bottom margins with military vignettes.Condition: Light chipping along right side, with a small amount of foxing. Very bold signature by McKinley.
