William Henry Harrison- Early Indiana Territorial Document Signed "Willm Henry Harrison", one page, 11" x 7.75", Vincennes, Indiana, December 13, 1810. This partially printed document appoints David Hoover as Justice of the Peace for Wayne County with Harrison signing off as Governor. Affixed with an embossed paper seal in lower left corner. Even toning, two smoothed folds and minor splits. Fine condition. Harrison, Indiana's first governor, gained national attention by defeating Tecumseh at Tippecanoe in 1811 and would, in time, become our ninth president.Auction Info
