William Henry Harrison Document Signed. Two pages (recto and verso), 8.25" x 6.75", "Quarter-Master's Department, North Western Army [Franklinton, Ohio]," December 1812. This partly-printed voucher approved by General Harrison authorizes payment to Robert Forsyth for his serviced as a guide. The future president has endorsed the verso, "Approved / Willm Henry Harrison." Smoothed folds; toned.More Information:
The document reads in part, "To my pay a guide from the 17th to 23 December 1812. . . . To my Pay as an Express for Genl. Harrison in carrying dispatches to Franklinton from the 24th to the 25th decemr. . . . To my pay as guide from the 26th to the 28th. . . . $16.00."
