Addressed to George Leonard of the United States Circuit Court of Appeals concerning a ruling he had made in a patent dispute between the Western Electric Company and the Williams-Abbott Electric Company. The balance of the letter addresses outstanding financial issues and personal matters that he is attempting to conclude. Taft is writing from San Francisco, on route to the Philippines to serve on a commission to establish a civilian government. Holographic postscript reads, "I have sent check to Bank for $1200."

Condition: Usual mail folds, light toning throughout, soiling from rust around small holes at upper left corner. Overall very fine.
