Ulysses S. Grant Naval Appointment Signed. One partially printed page, 14.5" x 18.25" (sight), Washington; July 9, 1870. Naval appointment of Robert F. Bradford as Commander in the Navy. Signed, "U.S. Grant" and countersigned by Secretary of the Navy George Robeson. With engraved patriotic and maritime vignettes at the top and bottom. Matted and framed to an overall size of 23.25" x 27".Condition: Creased along folds with toning along creases. Seal intact. Not examined outside of frame.
