Ulysses S. Grant Check Signed "U.S. Grant" as President. 7.75" x 3.25", Washington, D.C.; March 15, 1876. A check made out to "Wm M. Gall & Co." for $215.98. The check's type reading "Jay Cooke & Co., Bankers" has been replaced with "Sherman and Grant, Bankers," written in an unknown hand.Condition: Uneven and chipped edges. Worn corners and soiling throughout. Cancellation cuts and PAID stamps present. Ink burn at part of Grant's signature.
