Thomas Jefferson Endorsement Signed "Th: Jefferson" as president. One page, 7.25" x 2.75", Washington, July 8, 1806. Jefferson has signed the verso of a check reading: "Pay to the order of Thos. Jefferson One hundred & eighty three dollars, 59/100 / Office of Discount and Deposite, James Davidson Jr [?]/ Baltimore." Two "x" cancellations, one of which passes through Jefferson's signature, though it remains intact and in fine condition. Smoothed folds. One small .5" tear at the lower edge.Auction Info
