Description

Thomas Jefferson and James Madison Signed Land Grant. Partly printed on vellum, 15" x 8"; City of Washington; July 3, 1807. Issued to Cave Johnston of Kentucky "for full payment for lot or section number Twenty, and fraction number Twenty nine, of Township number One (East of Meridian line drawn from the mouth of the great Miami River -"

Condition: Blind embossed paper seal is present. Flattened folds, with creasing and buckling. Jefferson's signature has faded a bit; Madison's remains quite bold. Toning throughout.
