Description

Theodore Roosevelt Typed Letter Signed "Theodore Roosevelt." One page, 7.5" x 10", Berlin; May 11, 1910. Addressed to Hon. John Allison in Nashville, offering him a used bullet. It reads in part: "Your letters are interesting and valuable. I shall hope to see you not too long after I return. I have a bullet with which I shot a rhinoceros to give you, if you care to have it." At the end of his presidency, Roosevelt went on a hunting trip to Africa, beginning in March 1909. Roosevelt and his team killed or trapped approximately 11,400 animals and insects.

Condition: Flattened mail folds and light toning. Minor spots of soiling. Boldly signed.
