Description

Theodore Roosevelt Typed Letter Signed. "T. Roosevelt", one partially-printed page, 8.25" x 9.5" (sight), on Republican State Committee letterhead, New York, October 27, 1898, to Mrs. Emma Clark. It reads, somewhat enigmatically: "My dear Mrs. Clark (sic):- Don't tell Owens this, but the orderly I alluded to was another man. I am very much obliged to you. I have spoken a great deal about the colored troops." Matted in white beside a photo of Roosevelt, and framed under glass to an overall size of 17.5" x 24". Includes original envelope.

Condition:
Smooth folds, slight toning.
