    Theodore Roosevelt Inscribed and Signed Copy of The Strenuous Life: Essays and Addresses. New York: The Century Co., 1901. Third edition. Inscription to front free endpaper reads: "My dear Mrs. Sage / Won't you / accept this little / volume? You and / yours have been / part of it! / Ever yours / Theodore Roosevelt / April 25th 1902." Octavo. (5.5" x 7.75). 332 pages. Blind stamped border. Tan boards with leather and gilt stamped spine. With a frontispiece portrait of Roosevelt and top edge gilt.

    Condition: Spine bumped with rubbed boards. Endpapers and edges lightly foxed. Ink annotations, initialed and dated by own to rear blank free endpaper with newspaper clipping and clipped picture of Roosevelt pasted to rear blank free endpaper as well. Very good.
