Description

Theodore Roosevelt: Heavily Annotated TLS as Civil Service Commissioner. Typed Letter Signed, Washington, D.C., February 21, 1895 on "United States Civil Service Commission" letterhead, written to author A. G. Wallihan concerning comments TR made about his book. He adds a long postscript, in full: "By the way, if you publish another edition, or another book, do not, on any consideration, put in any but your own photographs of wild game. The white goat photograph is evidently from stuffed figures; they are poorly stuffed, too; goats never hold their heads like that. Is the sheep photograph from wild game: is the bear & lynx?" Excellent.
