Theodore Roosevelt Autograph Letter Signed. Four pages of a bifolium, 4.5" x 7"; Oyster Bay; August 30, 1890. A letter addressed to John Stuart Elliott concerning Elliott's upcoming wedding. Roosevelt regrets not being able to attend the wedding, saying, "I am more sorry than I can say; I do wish I could be present. Remember to give my very warmest well wishes to Miss Ellis, my new cousin; we are already preponed to be very fond of her. As for you, dear old friend and cousin, I need hardly say how earnestly and hopefully I wish you well. I know the highest happiness is in the love of a good woman whom one loves; and I am sure you have found it..."
