Theodore Roosevelt Autograph Letter Signed Together with an Edith Roosevelt Autograph Letter Signed and a Kermit Roosevelt Typed Letter Signed.


Theodore Roosevelt Autograph Letter Signed. One page, 5" x 8", no place, no date. A letter addressed to "Dear Judge" disavowing a quote attributed to him: "Of course it isn't true; it is an absurd untruth; I never said anything even remotely resembling it, and never made any statement which could be twisted into it. It is a pure invention..." Signed, "Theodore Roosevelt." Flattened folds with some wear resulting in a partial separation at the top fold. Light soiling, with ink smudges and stray foxing. Some staining on verso.

Edith K. Roosevelt Autograph Letter Signed. Three pages of a bifolium, 4.5" x 7", on Sagamore Hill imprinted stationery; December 30, no year. A letter to a Dr. Morgan about one of her sons' eye prescriptions. In part: "Ted is home for the holidays and tells me that for the last two months or so he finds he cannot see as clearly as he used to do without his glasses... It has come on quick recently and I think it may mean that his glasses should be changed..." Signed "Edith K Roosevelt." Flattened folds, with mounting remnants on the verso of the integral page.

Kermit Roosevelt Typed Letter Signed. One page, 7.25" x 10.5", New York; April 7, 1933. A brief letter declining an invitation for Memorial Day. Flattened folds, with light soiling at the folds on verso.
