    Description

Richard Nixon Typed Letter Signed "Dick." One page, 8" x 10.5", Washington, D.C.; January 14, 1957. Addressed to Carl Greenberg of the Los Angeles Examiner, thanking him for a congratulatory letter sent following the Eisenhower-Nixon re-election. Nixon notes, "I was most interested in your reaction to the Long Beach press conference. It was one of fifty-four I had during the campaign. Virtually all of them were in that pattern. Toward the end of the campaign, some of those who had been with us most of the time began to cover their antagonism to an extent, but I can assure you I felt that I had just gotten off a hot griddle each time one of the conferences was concluded! In any event, I suppose that all's well that ends well and as you know, an obviously antagonistic questioner sometimes gives his intended victim an opportunity to make a more effective statement than he might otherwise have made." Signed in blue ink. From the Estate of Malcolm S. Forbes.

Condition: Usual mail folds, small spot of soiling, otherwise very fine.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
