    Richard Nixon Typed Letter Signed "Richard M. Nixon." One page, 8" x 10.5", June 15, 1942. Addressed to the Director of Naval Officer Procurement on the topic of the revoking of his commission: "I have been advised that the commission in the United States Reserve tendered me is subject to revocation should subsequent review of completed data prove unsatisfactory." Nixon joined the U.S. Naval Reserve on June 15, 1942. Signed in blue ink. From the Estate of Malcolm S. Forbes.

    Condition: Lightly toned, with some small notations made in red and pencil. Four hole punches at the top margin, some slight tearing and paper loss has occurred.
