Description

Richard Nixon Signed Press Release of His Second Inaugural Address. Three pages, 8.5" x 14.5". Typescript copy of Nixon's second inaugural address dated January 20, 1973. Nixon has signed at the top of the first page in blue ink. The speech ends with: "Today I ask your prayer that in the years ahead I may have God's help in making decisions that are right for America and I pray for your help so that together we may be worthy of our challenge." Ironically, the Watergate scandal had begun to snowball, eventually culminating in Nixon's resignation the following year. Slight age discoloration and staple holes at left corners of all three sheets.
