Description

Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford: Souvenir Signed Resignation Letter and Signed Pardon Presentation. 19" x 24" presentation housing photos of Nixon and Ford along with signed documents. The 6" x 5" signed Nixon piece is dated August 9, 1974, addressed to Secretary of State Henry Kissinger and states: "I hereby resign the office of President of the United States." The signed Ford piece measures 5" x 4" and is dated September 8, 1974 and contains the text of Ford's Presidential pardon of Nixon. Both of these are souvenirs issued after the event, signed by the parties involved. The lot includes Letters of Authenticity from University Archives for both items.
