John F. Kennedy signed color photograph of his first meeting with the Joint Chiefs of Staff - from General Lemnitzer's Collection - signed by all!

President Kennedy and the Joint Chiefs of Staff Color Photograph Signed "John F. Kennedy," "David M. Shoup" (Commandant, Marine Corps), "Thomas D. White" (Air Force), "L.L. Lemnitzer" (Chairman), "Arleigh Burke" (Chief, Naval Operations), and "George H. Decker" (Army), 20" x 16 overall, image 13.25" x 10.5". A printed government caption of this U.S. Army Photo has been affixed to the verso (part torn off) indicating it was taken by Lt. Cecil W. Stoughton on January 25, 1961, five days after the inauguration. Stoughton had so impressed President Kennedy with pictures of his inauguration that he appointed him, through his military aide, his official White House photographer. The photograph, taken in the Oval Office, was framed under glass to 21" x 17" - the wide black tape used on verso at the perimeter to attach the photograph to the frame has loosened. The color image has faded a bit but the six signatures, especially President Kennedy's, are clear and boldly written on the lower matte. From the collection of former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Lyman L. Lemnitzer. Fine condition.
