    Description

OUTSTANDING 1828 HANDWRITTEN ANDREW JACKSON LETTER. Written from the Hermitage, his legendary Tennessee estate, in the year he was first elected to the presidency.  Written to the cashier of his bank in Nashwille, it gives detailed account of his efforts to collect monies due him and offers convoluted plans to satisfy his own financial obligations (clearly he was under economic duress, as he was through much of his life).  Excellent content reflecting on important aspect of his life and character.  Very nice condition, with exceptional large, bold signature.  Also signed on reverse side as part of return address (letters in thos times were simply folder up and mailed, rather than being placed in envelopes.  Small area where piece out of edge has been restored, not touching any written part.  The letter has been cloth backed quite some time ago. 8 x 10". LOA Spence and Grad PSA/DNA.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
