    Mary Todd Lincoln Signed Book: The Complete Poems of Jean Ingelow. Boston: Roberts Brothers, 1871. Author's edition. 332 pages. Signed on the first front free paper, "Mary Lincoln March 1872." With a frontispiece of Jean Ingelow. Brown leather covered boards. Gilt lettering at the spine with raised bands. Gilt edged pages.

    The book is housed in a custom clamshell case, accompanied by a carte de visite of Mary Todd Lincoln. 2.5" x 4", Washington, D.C., no date. An image of the first lady in a formal gown and an intricate headpiece. No backstamp, but marked as published by C. Bohn.

    Condition: Toned pages throughout. Binding edges, spine, and corners are rubbed. Sound binding. Chipping and minor paper loss to the corners and edges of the integral pages. Signed page has a few blue marks throughout. Archival tape on verso of page.
