John F. Kennedy Typed Memo Signed as President with Holograph Notation. One page, 6.75" x 9", on White House letterhead, Washington, D.C., n.d. Headed "MEMORANDUM FOR WALTER HELLER." Walter Wolfgang Heller was a leading economist of the 1960s and an influential advisor to President Kennedy as chairman of the Council of Economic Advisors (1961-1964). Here, the president asks Heller to provide him with information about international financial matters. It reads: "I would like to get a report on the budget prospects in the European countries including Great Britain. Are they all expected to be in balance." Beneath this, the President has penned: "If not, what are their prospects on deficits? J.K." This letter is accompanied by an 8" x 10" black and white photograph of Kennedy with Heller, presumably taken when Kennedy was president. Letter is faintly age toned, but in very fine condition.
