    John F. Kennedy Typed Letter Signed "John Kennedy." One page, 6.75" x 9", Washington, D.C.; May 28, 1963. Addressed to Robert F. Lewine, President of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, thanking the academy for televising numerous of his speeches. It reads: "I can't tell you how pleased I am with the honor you conferred on me. We have been well pleased with the results of televising Presidential press conferences as well as to the reaction we have received from the interview with the three networks last December. I am happy that the Academy felt they were worthy of this award." Accompanied by the original transmittal envelope.

    Condition: Mail fold at center. Staining at the top and bottom margins from adhesive tape on verso. Light mat burn. Wear and uneven toning and soiling to the envelope. Boldly signed by Kennedy. Pencil markings on back of envelope.
