Description
John F. Kennedy Typed Letter Signed "Jack" as senator. One page, 8" x 10.5", July 13, 1957, on United States Senate stationary. Kennedy writes to Lewis Weinstein, a leader in the Boston Jewish community and early Kennedy supporter, regarding the senator's speech on the Senate floor regarding the situation in Algeria. "I hope that a reading of them [the speech and a supplementary statement] will resolve some of your doubts about the wisdom and validity of my remarks." Weinstein would later serve as a member of President Kennedy's Committee on Equal Opportunity in Housing. Framed with a photograph of Kennedy, 21" x 17" (overall).
