    John Adams Document Signed. "John Adams". One partially-printed vellum page, 13" x 10.25", period docketed on the verso. Washington, D.C.; December 24, 1800. A document granting four thousand acres to Founding Father of the United States, Abraham Baldwin in accordance with an act passed by Congress on June 1, 1796, interestingly titled "An Act regulating the grants of Land appropriated for Military services, and for the Society of the United Brethren for propagating the gospel among the Heathen." Countersigned by John Marshall as Secretary of State, with remnants of a seal at the bottom-left.

    Condition: Heavily toned, with smoothed folds, chipped edges, soiling due to age and handling, and four small holes of loss.
