John Adams Autograph Document Signed "J. Adams." One partially-printed page, 7.25" x 3", Boston, March 31, 1769. Placed below a court summons "To the Damage of . . . Benjamin Gidley & John Gridley they say the Sum of five hundred Pounds. . . with other due Damages," Boston lawyer John Adams has written: "And the Said Nathaniel comes & defends &c and Saith he never promised in manner & Form as the Plantiff has above declared against him." Ink burn has resulted in minor paper loss in two places. Adams signature is small, but nonetheless desirable.

Before John Adams was included among the Founding Fathers, before he was a delegate to two Continental Congresses, and before he was the second president of the United States of America, he was a struggling lawyer in Braintree, Massachusetts. His career as an attorney had a rough beginning, with only one client in his first year. It was not until 1769, following a move to Boston the year before, that Adams won his first big case - defending one of the richest men in Boston, John Hancock, against smuggling charges.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
