Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter: White House Christmas Gift Print Signed by Both and Signed Book. One 1980 gift print signed. Inscribed by the First Lady to White House maid, Viola Wise, "To Viola Wise, Best Wishes and Merry Christmas, Rosalynn Carter" at the lower left border and signed by the President at the lower right. Housed in the original presentation folders with embossed foil presidential seal.Accompanied by one book signed by the President and First Lady. Why Not the Best? Nashville, TN: Broadman Press (1977). Octavo. 208 pages. Decoratively bound in bright green leather with large Presidential Seal, title, and facsimile signature of the President in gilt on the front board, all edges gilt, Capitol Building stamped in blind on the rear board. Inscribed by the First Lady to long-time White House employee, Janice Ingersoll, on the front free endpaper, "To Jan Ingersoll, Thanks for all your help and Merry Christmas 1980! Rosalynn Carter" and signed by the President under her inscription. This book was the President's campaign autobiography which helped to serve introduce the George governor to the wider American public.
