Description

James Monroe Land Grant Signed. One partially-printed vellum page, 15.25" x 9.75", Washington, April 5, 1824, granting a 136-acre tract of land in Alabama to "Young E. Fleming of Tuskaloosa County". Signed "James Monroe", with blind embossed seal and a bold signature.

Condition: Handwriting has faded slightly but still legible. Some edges are creased. Document is stiff along folds and there are some small holes where paper was weakened. Slight spotting and foxing in places. Slight creasing around blind embossed seal.
