Description
James Monroe Land Grant Signed as president. One partially-printed vellum page, 11.5" x 18", "City of Washington," March 15, 1819, countersigned by General Land Office Commissioner Josiah Meigs. The document grants Walter Dun, "in consideration of Military Service performed by Nathan Gammell," 157 acres in the Ohio River valley. With a blind-embossed paper seal in the lower left corner and docketing on the verso. Toned with folds and minor stains.Auction Info
