Description
James Garfield Autograph Letter Signed as President-Elect. One page, 5" x 8", Mentor, Ohio; November 28, 1880. A letter to George H. Lorsser: "Yours of the 10th visit, came duly to hand. Accept my thanks for your kind congratulations and for the information which your letter contains." Garfield had won the presidential election over Winfield Scott Hancock on November 2. Signed "J.A. Garfield."Condition: Usual mail folds and light foxing. A few pencil notations on front and verso. Overall very good.
