Jacqueline Kennedy Autograph Letter Signed "Jacqueline Kennedy". One page of letterhead imprinted with the Kennedy crest, 6.25" x 9.25", New York, April 3, 1966. A letter to Norman Cousins, thanking him for books he had sent her on the eve of a European trip with her children.

She writes: "How unbelievably thoughtful of you to send us such marvelous books on the eve of our trip - We read them all weekend and it was the most wonderful preparation. I just hope Caroline sees some of the animals of the high Andes - or she will never forgive me. I enjoyed our lunch so much. It's always a joy to see you." Following her husband's death, Mrs. Kennedy moved with her children to an apartment in New York. Accompanied by original transmittal envelope addressed in her hand. Ex. Norman Cousins Estate.

Condition: Usual mail fold is present, else very good condition.

We had a wonderful time in New York during the October 2013 Historical Manuscripts auction that featured my mother’s papers collected during her tenure as Martin Luther King, Jr.’s secretary. In fact, the entire experience from beginning to end has been a pleasure.
