Description
Jacqueline Kennedy and John Jr.: Autograph Note. One page. 8" x 12.5" yellow legal pad page, no place, no date. A pre-school John-John wanted to write a letter to his favorite Secret Service agent, Robert Foster so he took a pen and neatly wrote out a line of undecipherable characters on each side of this sheet. Just so Mr. Foster would correctly interpret the sentiments behind the writing, John's mother, Jacqueline Kennedy, translates it in her own handwriting beneath: "The above says, the author of this letter tells me --: MR FOSTER I LOVE YOU John". A wonderful and poignant item, not to mention it being possibly the first known "autograph letter" from John F.
