Description

Harry Truman Typed Letter Signed. One page on White House letterhead, 6 1/4 x 8 1/2 inches; Washington; October 6, 1945. Letter addressed to Dr. E.T. Urban, Truman writes, "I appreciated very much your letter of the second about my good friend, Colonel Horace Rumsey. You will do me a very great favor if you will keep me posted on his condition." Signed, "Harry Truman." Rumsey, who served as a commander in World War I and was a close personal friend of Truman, died a year after Truman sent this letter. Matted and framed to an overall size of 17 x 25 inches. Not examined outside of frame. This item is accompanied by a letter of authenticity by PSA/DNA.

Condition: Creased along fold, and overall light even toning. Frame is in very good condition.
