Description
Harry Truman Typed Letter Signed. One page on his imprinted letterhead, 7.25" x 10.5". Kansas City, Missouri; April 7, 1956. A letter to Harry Hansen, editor of The World Almanac explaining that he is the "32nd man who has been President of the United States." He explains: "The Hearst Publications started the wrong numbering program... by counting Grover Cleveland twice." Together with the original transmittal envelope. From the Estate of Malcolm S. Forbes.Condition: Aside from the usual mail folds and gentle toning, both items are near fine.
