    Harry Truman Typed Letter Signed as President. One page, 6.5" x 8.5", White House letterhead, Washington, July 22, 1947, to Congressman Charles A. Plumley. In full: "I certainly thank you for bringing me the Missouri and Vermont marble book ends and the Vermont ash trays. I'll appreciate it if you will convey my appreciation to the Vermont Marble Company." Plumley was a representative from Vermont from 1934 until 1951. The Vermont Marble Company was formed in 1880 by the merger of two companies under the direction of Redfield Proctor, a Civil War veteran and governor of Vermont. The letter is in very fine condition and is double matted with a B&W photo and framed to an overall size of 18.75" x 15". Accompanied by LOA from PSA/DNA.
