Description

    Harry S. Truman Autograph Note Signed. Index card, 5" x 3". No place; October 11, 1944. Truman makes a musical request: "Play me a Straus [sic] Waltz when to you get to it. Harry Truman." He adds: "Played Blue Danube. Oct. 11, 1944." Truman is likely attending a recital, but the occasion and recipient of the request are unknown. From the Estate of Malcolm S. Forbes.

    Condition: Heavy toning and some mat burn; however, ink remains bold. Cello tape and mounting remnants on verso.
