Harry S. Truman Autograph Letter Signed as president. One page, 8" x 10.5", on Federal Housing Administration letterhead, Kansas City, December 23, 1948, shortly after his election to a second term. The president's note is located at the bottom of a typed letter to William S. Bane by the president's younger brother, John Vivian Truman. Truman writes in full:

"Glad Vivian let me see this. I'm glad to hear from you and that you are well. I well remember your association with my father. I also remember your receipt for raising big water melons. Merry Christmas to you."

The original letter reads, in part: "You have no idea of the pleasure the receipt of a card of good wishes caused me when I saw W. S. Bane signed to it. It is my intention to show this card to the President (he happens to be here at the time) and I am sure he too will be highly pleased to know that you are still enjoying good health and that you are located as near to us as you are at the present time."

Letter is unevenly toned and stained in the middle, but the text is unaffected. Folds weakened slightly.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
