Description
Group of Five Presidential Signed Letters, Including Taft, Wilson, Harding, Coolidge, and Cleveland. A group of letters, dating from 1881 to 1924. Covering general business of the president, from thank you letters to scheduling meetings. Includes:William Taft Typed Letter Signed "Wm H Taft." One page of a bifolium, 7" x 9", Washington, D.C.; May 29, 1910. Addressed to William B. Howland, writing "I am glad that the Lake Monhonk Arbitration Conference approved anything we have done."
Woodrow Wilson Typed Letter Signed "Woodrow Wilson." One page of a bifolium, 7" x 9", Washington, D.C.; February 16, 1915. Addressed to Reverend Dr. M.W. Jacobus, concerning inquiring made to the State Department on a Professor Worrell's behalf.
Warren G. Harding Typed Letter Signed "Warren G Harding." One page of a bifolium, 7" x 9", Washington, D.C.; September 23, 1921. Addressed to Mrs. James Pike, wishing her a 106th birthday.
Calvin Coolidge Typed Letter Signed "Calvin Coolidge." One page of a bifolium, 7" x 9", Washington, D.C.; May 20, 1924. Writing to Charles A. Andrews, he writes "The Senate as you know acted on the bonus measure, but it is encouraging nevertheless to have your warm assurances that I have taken the right course."
Grover Cleveland Autograph Letter Signed "Grover Cleveland." One page, 8" x 10.5", Buffalo, New York; February 7, 1881. Cleveland writes to Messrs Hill & Meenay, acknowledging the scheduling of a meeting for the following day.
Condition: With flattened mail folds to all. Varying degrees of toning. Minor amounts of foxing and soiling to some of the letters. All boldly signed.
