Description

Gerald Ford Presidential Pardon Document Signed, "Granting Pardon to Richard Nixon / by the President of the United States of America / A Proclamation", one page, 8" x 10.5", Washington, D.C., after August 9, 1974. Bold Ford signature prominently placed in the center of the lower margin. Crisp, clean and in excellent condition. Here, in the immediate aftermath of the Watergate scandal, President Ford explains his rationale for not having the disgraced Nixon brought to trial. A great piece of American history many of us still remember.
