George Washington Free Frank "Go: Washington" with docket in the hand of Anthony Wayne. One page, 12.5" x 7.75", [Headquarters, New Windsor, New York], July 5, 1779. This sheet, which served as an envelope for a letter that General Washington mailed to General Wayne, is addressed, "Public Service/ Brigr. Genl. Wayne/ at/ Fort Montgomery." General Washington has signed immediately before "Fort Montgomery". General Wayne has docketed, "5th July 1779/ from/ Genl. Washington." Folds (with weakness and some separation thereat), as well as evidence of the original seal. A thin strip of mounting tape covers the bottom edge, and thus, partially covers Wayne's handwritten "5th July 1779".

General Washington, who was headquartered at New Windsor on the Hudson River, sent this envelope with letter to General Wayne, who was fourteen miles south on the Hudson at Fort Montgomery. The letter (not included) concerned the correct clothing for the infantry, as well as Washington's assurance that he would keep Wayne's troops supplied with rum.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
