One page, 8" x 10.5", on "White House" letterhead, Washington, November 18, 1938, to Senator Lester Hill regarding funding for the construction of the Mobile Tunnel. Ink spotting at the right edge, not affecting the text. Folds.More Information:
In full: "Following your call several days ago, I have taken up with the Public Works Administration the question of making an allotment for the Mobile Tunnel. I am advised that every effort is being made to work out this project on a favorable basis so that an allotment may be considered. Of course, the question of the availability of funds is material and at this time, I can give no assurance that they will be forthcoming; but the project will not be overlooked if the situation permits."
